Kay Rice is an amazing teacher and spiritual guide. I first met Kay when we worked together at the Chopra Center. She had a knack for connecting with and serving our guests in a such a way, that they always took the next step she recommended. Kay went on to become an Ayurvedic Master, being certified in Primordial Sound Meditation, Ayurveda and Yoga. She has a special gift, what I call a “soul set.” Unlike many of us, who function from our minds, Kay functions through her soul. Her presence with her students, colleagues and everyone she comes in contact with makes you feel special and connected with her. Kay founding her own business in the Spiritual/Health Realm is the logical next step. She will be tremendously successful as she spreads her wings and continues to touch people in a way that supports and nurtures them on their path while she grows on hers.

As a member of the Ultimate Fitness Quest Team of Experts, I have communicated frequently with Kay Rice, but today was my first time to meet her in person. I know now why Stewart Welch III chose her as one of his experts. I am going to incorporate Kay’s dietary and exercise program into my own regimen and follow her instructions. It is very good advice.

Today, I had the good fortune to be able to hear Kay Rice give a presentation to the personnel of The Welch Group. Stewart Welch III is initiating another phase of his Ultimate Fitness Quest project www.UltimateFitnessQuest.com and has challenged his staff to commit themselves to the exercise and dietary regimen, designed by Kay, which he followed on his own initial UFQ.

In my medical practice I have had many patients, when needing to lose weight, try every gimmicky, medically unsound diet ever formulated. Based on spurious pseudo-science, these diets never achieve their promise of rapid and sustained weight loss. Kay’s nutritional recommendations, however, are scientifically sound and based on both known metabolic physiology and pathophysiology. Her advice is medically cogent but also commonsensical.
Good job Kay!
And thanks!

Kay Rice was my nutrition coach during a challenge at The Forum Athletic Club in North Fulton County, Georgia. I walked away a winner on a number of levels. Not only did I win the fitness challenge and over $5,000 in prizes, I lost over 75 pounds and 18% body fat! My life and my health is completely different today as a result of the lifestyle changes I made. Not only did I lose the weight and get into shape, I learned the tools I need to take control of my health and my weight from now on.

My husband and I came to Kay during the summer of 2010 to set up a nutrition plan for our daughter. She was slightly overweight, but more importantly, she had recently been tested for cholesterol and registered 182 at the age of 11. Given the family history of high cholesterol in my family, we decided it was time to take action.
My husband and I work out and eat well, but decided to go on the “plan” with Jessica. We could not be happier with our results. The most important thing is that we have all learned how to eat well and keep our bodies fueled for the day. Kay’s approach was simple and we learned how to eat smaller meals more frequently, so that we weren’t ever “starving” during the day. This was a key thing to learn about eating and it really works.
Our daughter has lost 10 pounds and we are certain that her cholesterol will be down when she is re-tested in April.
Ken and I both lost 10 pounds as well and have learned how to eat balanced meals.
Breaking the sugar addiction was the hardest thing to do, but once you do it, you don’t crave it anymore and that is a beautiful thing.
We appreciate all that Kay has done to teach us how to eat properly and keep our bodies fueled for the crazy, hectic days that we have!

I met Kay in 2008. She was my Wellness Coach in the Wellness Program offered by my employer. At that time I was so depressed, unhappy and frustrated with my weight that I cried during the coaching session. I was so frustrated with my lack of results from my dieting efforts.   Something happened during that coaching session.  She asked me to stop and listen to myself.  I was looking for a “get fit quick fix” and it was going to take some time, but as soon as I got on the right path I would start to feel better.  She told me told that I am the one who is accountable for my choices and my results and that I have the power to make those choices and to change.  It was a life changing moment and I made a decision to take control of my health right then.

We talked about how to implement an exercise and nutrition plan and set some goals. Immediately after I met with her, at the next lunch break, I shared with my friend my decision to make these changes in my life. My friend decided to join me on my journey. I still carry a photo of myself from that time when I weighed 230 pounds. It serves as a reminder of where I started on my journey.

I have lost over 100# and now wear size 6 jeans, down from size 20.   I eat high quality foods that I enjoy, go to the gym 4-5 times a week.  In 2008,  I could not do a single push up. Now can do 25 men’s push ups, and in fact did push ups with my grandson on my back.   I also take my grandson out for hikes in the woods; something I never could have done at 230#. Now I feel vibrant; I am happy, and I never get sick. My work out partner has experienced similar results … having lost 90# and 10 inches in waist size. I didn’t really need coaching today, but I just came by to thank Kay, give her a hug, and let her know how much I appreciate her coaching and support.  I’m now someone at our company that other employees look up to and ask me how I did it! Thank you, Kay!

I went to my doctor for a check up and he wanted to put me on Lipitor because my cholesterol was too high. I told him, “Let me try something different first.” I joined the gym and went to Kay for nutrition and wellness coaching. After 3 months of following her nutrition program and exercise recommendations I had lost 15 pounds, 2 sizes in clothes, and I looked and felt so great all of my friends were asking me what I was doing! The best news is when I returned to my doctor and was re-tested, not only had my cholesterol lowered to the acceptable range, but my liver enzymes which had been elevated were normal as well. I learned to eat correctly and took control of my health with Kay’s help.

Nutrition Client:  I really enjoyed learning from you about the Nutrition Program.  You are a terrific coach and I appreciate all of your advice and concern.  You have GREAT knowledge of the program and about physiology and I look forward to learning so much more from you! Stacey R.

Yoga Student: I have been a member at your facility for 2 years and have been doing Yoga for 1 year.  Our family joined “another Fitness Facility” and we have two small children who LOVED the place.  Still, I came back to your facility becaus of your Yoga Instructors, who I feel are soooo much better.  Especially Kay, and another instructor on Tuesday mornings.  Thank you. Just FYI … Staci …

Corporate Wellness Client: After 18 months following the advice of my Wellness Coach, Kay Rice, I have noticed several improvements. Not only have I dropped in my clothes size, but more importantly my cholesterol is lower, my doctor has cut my blood pressure medicine in half, these in addition to and a benefit of my overall weight loss, of which I have never gained any of the weight back.

Kay’s quick easy tips are very easy to work into daily life and she is a great lady who is easy to talk with.
